Dear Hartley family, I was saddened to see Lorraine's obituary in the Bangor Daily this morning. I haven't seen her in a long while but many years ago she and Jim were treasured friends of my parents. Jim and Dad were roommates at Millinocket Regional Hospital and became fast friends. They continued to visit one another's homes. Jim and Lorraine were the first to come to the hospital when my Dad died, to be with my Mom until my brother and I could get there. They continued to visit my Mom when taking a ride up Island Falls way and I brought Mom to see them a few times. Probably the last time I saw them was at my Mom's funeral. Wonderful people! My heart goes out to all of you. I pray for the comfort of faith and family. I wish I could come to the service. It is a work day for me. To Jim and The Hartley Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Lorraine coming to my house for coffee with my Mom. She always had a smile on her face. Lorraine will be sadly missed by all who knew her. My prayers and thoughts are with you all in this sad time. God Bless.
